Free Crochet Pattern for Fingerless Gloves | Pinerolo Fingerless Gloves

Sharing is caring!

The Pinerolo is a Free Crochet Pattern for Fingerless Gloves. These textured fingerless gloves keep hands cozy and warm.

The basketweave style texture is so beautiful. These crochet gloves use less than one skein of worsted weight yarn too, so they’re quick gifts.

The texture on these hand warmers works up with post stitches. If these are new to you, I include the links for tutorials below.

The Yarn

I chose Lion Brand Jeans yarn for this free crochet pattern for fingerless gloves. I love how well they captured that topstitch color. It’s spot on with the stitching in my jeans.

If you need to, you can use any #4 medium worsted weight yarn to make these cozy hand warmers!

Materials

  • #4 worsted weight yarn, pictured in Lion Brand Jeans Yarn* (100% acrylic, 246yd/225m, 3.5oz/100g) color: Topstitch, 1 ball; or 130 yd/119m of comparable yarn.
  • 5.5mm US Size I-9 hook*
  • Yarn needle
  • Measuring tape
  • Scissors

Notes

  1. The stitch multiple is 6 for this fingerless glove pattern.
  2. Ch 3 counts as a dc, please consider using an alternative to Ch 3, i.e. standing stitch.
  3. The pattern is written with two options: starting chain or foundation double crochets. I highly recommend using the fdc as it provides your fitted items with the stretch they need to fit well.
  4. Gloves work from the bottom up, in the round.
  5. Pattern is a 3 round repeat, with the exception of the first and last rounds. I’ve indicated the starting st of each round in ( ) for ease.
  6. To form the thumbhole, you will turn work in rows and then you will join and continue working around as before.

Finished Dimensions

The finished gloves measure 3”/7.75cm (3.75”/9.5cm) wide when laid flat.

Finished length is 9”/23cm (9.5”/24cm) long.

Fit

Pattern has negative ease of 2″ where finished glove is 2″ smaller than hand measurement and stretches to fit snugly.

To fit hand circumferences (measure around the knuckles) of:

  • (S/M) 8”/20.5cm – 8.5”/21.5cm
  • (M/L) 8.5”/21.5cm – 9”/23.5cm

Adjustments

The stitch multiple for this pattern is 6. To crochet a smaller or larger glove, subtract or add 6 to my starting count. Or try going up or down a hook size.

To shorten or lengthen your gloves, take off or add rounds, remember they’re grouped in 3s.
