Easy Striped Hand Towel + Washcloth Knitting Pattern

Sharing is caring!

The Via Towel features a textured stitch pattern that works great for your bathroom or dish towels. The repeat rows combine knit and purl stitches to create a fabric perfect for a kitchen towel.

You can follow the stripe pattern, or create your own to match your dish cloths to your home decor style. And, of course, creating smaller wash cloths is a great way to use up leftover yarn if it’s cotton yarn.

Would you believe there are more knit stitches than purls in this dish towel pattern? It’s a 4 row repeat too so an one to remember.

5 balls of dishie cotton yarn in blues and one cream in yarn bowl with needles.

To change colors you’ll want to join new yarn at the beginning of a row, so after the last stitch, at the end of row turn your work and then drop your current yarn and pick up the new yarn. You can gently tie a knot with the two ends to secure them. You can check out the video tutorial here.
