Front Post Double Crochet Tutorial + Video

Sharing is caring!

Front post double crochet stitches are double crochet stitches that are worked around the post of the stitch instead of into the top of the stitch.

In most patterns they are abbreviated as FPdc or FPDC or fpdc.  This intermediate crochet technique creates a textured stitch that stands out among the others in your crochet projects.

I have often used front post double crochet stitches in waffle blankets and washcloths.
