An easy kitchen towel knit in one skein of self striping yarn to showcase texture and color!

Materials

  • Universal Yarn Cotton Supreme Waves #3 light weight yarn (100% Cotton, 230 yd (211 m) per 100 g skein) in shade Autumn Apple: 1 skein.

Tools

  • 4 mm (US 6) knitting needles* or size needed to meet gauge.
  • Yarn needle, measuring tape, scissors, stitch marker(s).

Instructions

CO 67 sts using your preferred cast on method.

Ridged Rib Stitch
Row 1. K all.
Row 2. K all
Row 3. P1 *k1, p1; rep from * to end.
Row 4. K1 *p1, k1; rep from * to end.
Rep rows 1 – 4 through first color change or until this section is 2.5”tall.

Garter Stitch
Row 1. K all.
Row 2. K all.
Rep rows 1 – 2 through second color change or until this section is 3.5”tall.

Seed Stitch
Row 1. K1, *p1, k1; rep from * to end.
Rep row 1 through third color change or until this section is 4.5”tall.

Double Moss Stitch
Row 1. * K2, P2, rep from * to last st, k1.
Row 2. K1, * P2, K2, rep from * to end.
Row 3. * P2, K2, rep from * to last st, p1.
Row 4. P1 * K2, P2,rep from * to last st,.
Rep rows 1 – 4 through fourth color change or until this section is 5” tall.

Ridged Rib Stitch
Row 1. K all.
Row 2. K all
Row 3. P1 *k1, p1; rep from * to end.
Row 4. K1 *p1, k1; rep from * to end.

Finishing
BO. Cut yarn & weave in ends.
