The diamond pattern works up with purl stitches on stockinette, with seed stitch edges. It’s an easy pattern to knit, and you’ll quickly be able to see when you need purl.
Wool Ease Thick & Quick is such a great yarn for a knit scarf. It’s warm, knits up quick, and the colors are gorgeous.
I knit this scarf with just two balls, so if you want a scarf longer than 60″ be sure to pick up another ball or two.

My scarf is curling on the sides. What am I doing wrong? I love the pattern.
Hi Jane,
Sorry you’re having that curling, I’ll try to help. It’s normal for stockinette based stitches to curl, that’s why we add edges like the seed stitch on this scarf so it will lay flat. Here are a few thoughts: possibly go up a needle size, try adding a few extra seed stitches for the edge, and blocking should help some too once you’re finished. I hope this helps!
