Coastal Sun Tote a Free Crochet Pattern

Coastal Sun Tote a Free Crochet Pattern

The Coastal Sun Crochet Tote bag is a fast and fun project to create for everyday use or even for a beach day. Create stripes using your scrap yarn or crochet it in solid colors. This beginner friendly crochet tote is worked bottom up, in the round with 100% cotton yarn, although acrylic is suitable as well. These bags make great gifts that are beautiful and useful!

As a maker I enjoying gifting my handmade items, I’m sure you can relate. I designed a series of crochet tote bags to gift to my sons’ teachers for end of year gifts. I made so many that I’m still sharing the patterns with you. If you love crochet totes {and variety} here are the links for the others I’ve published so far.

  1. Mercato Crossbody Tote
  2. The Library Tote
  3. La Via Bag
  4. The June Market Tote

The Coastal Sun Tote makes for a fabulous scrappy project. With different stitches in repeated sections it’s easy to change colors. I love the combination of teal and yellow in this one, with a little bit of the print thrown in at the transitions.
