Veneto Fringed Scarf Free Crochet Pattern

Sharing is caring!

Crochet the Veneto Scarf in super bulky yarn for a quick but cozy make! This crochet pattern works up beautifully in this print yarn.

The best part of my Veneto Fringed Scarf is that it keeps my neck warm! Just wearing a scarf seems to keep me the right temperature, without having to add all those extra layers-at least this time of year. A neutral accessory is the best and most loved in my wardrobe.

I include a photo tutorial on how to add the fringe, if that’s new for you. The fringe is optional, of course, but I’m loving it. It’s fun to fiddle with when I’m not crocheting 🙂

The Yarn

I can’t stop buying this yarn! It’s my new favorite colorway right now, Fossil. Even though at this point it’s *technically* spring, I still want to make and wear all the warm squishy goodness.

Truly, this yarn is so squeezable. I had a test swatch for this pattern floating around in my purse (ahem, yarn bag) and I couldn’t help but squish it every time I stuck my hand in there.

Since we are winding down on winter (somewhere, surely?) and this yarn is the super bulky weight from Lion Brand’s Wool Ease Thick & Quick line I went with a more open design. I paired a simple v-stitch with chains and worked the scarf lengthwise-on the long edge-to best feature this colorway.
