Yarn

For these ear warmers I used a #4 weight yarn, Red Heart Super Saver in Aran. I definitely think this will be a fun pattern to try in different colors and maybe even variegated yarn.

Stitch

The crochet alpine stitch has all the texture! It’s a mix of single crochet, double crochet stitches and front post treble crochet stitches.

I’ve included a row by row tutorial for the ear warmer pattern below. However, if you’d like more support there are tutorials specific to this stitches.

To check out how to crochet the Alpine Stitch first, visit the tutorial. You can work up a gauge swatch using the tutorial. Then crocheting up the ear warmer will be easy peasy.
