Adjustments
This an adjustable crochet ear warmer pattern, although I include the different sizes for everyone below.
To adjust the width use any even number of stitches. Adding or subtracting 2 to my starting chain will also work.
To change the length, adjust the number of rows you repeat.

Crochet Ear Warmer Pattern
Learn how to crochet an easy ear warmer in this simple pattern with step by step pictures.
Materials
- #6 super bulky weight yarn; pictured in Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick* (80% Acrylic; 20% Wool, 87 yd/80m, 5 oz/140 g); color: Fisherman; 1 ball.
Tools
- 10mm US Size N crochet hook
- yarn needle
- scissors
- measuring tape
Instructions
- Ch 10
- Sc in the 2nd ch from your hook. The turning ch counts as the first st (marked here by the lime green stitch marker) and you will work into it on the next row.
- Ch 1, sk next ch, sc in next ch.
- *{Ch 1, sk next ch, sc in next ch} rep from * across, turn. (10 sts)
- Row 2. Ch 1, sk first sc, the blue yarn needle marks where to insert your hook for the next st.

- {Flo sc in next ch, ch 1, sk next sc}
- Rep from * across
- Sc in flo of turning ch, turn. (10 sts)
- If you add the stitch marker to the front loop only on the turning chain, it will be even easier to find.
- Row 3. Ch 1, sk first sc, *{flo sc in next ch, ch 1, sk next sc} rep from * across, sc in flo of turning ch, turn. (10 sts)
- Rep Row 3 to the length of your size below:
0-3 mos work 20 rows or to 13.5" long.
baby 3-6 mos work 21 rows or to 14" long.
baby 6-12 mos work 23 rows or 15.5" long.
Toddler work 26 rows or 17.5" long.
Child work 29 rows or 19.5" long.
Tween/Sm Adult work 30 rows or 20" long.
Md/Lg Adult Size work 33 rows or 22" long.
Seam
- Cut yarn and leave a long tail for sewing.
- Fold in half and match up short ends.
- Fold in half again.
- Use your long tail and yarn needle to sew together.
- Work in a zig zag.
- Be sure to sew through all 4 layers.
- Cut yarn and weave in ends.
- Turn right side out.
