Mercato Crochet Crossbody Shoulder Bag Free Pattern

The Mercato Crochet Crossbody Shoulder Bag is ideal for traveling, a day at the mercato {market}, or a playdate at the park. It’s comfortable, and stays out of the way, but is there when you need it.

Market tote bags are such great summer makes. I gifted this one to my son’s teacher, and she just loved it. It’s fast, easy and doesn’t take much yarn-perfect for gift giving.

I’ve crocheted a bunch of these shoulder bags this year and gifted all of them. I definitely should make a few for myself. I always need a nice shopper ready to go in the car, or another bag to hold yarn!

The Mercato Crossbody Shoulder Bag is worked from the bottom up, in the round. The lovely and versatile v-stitch makes it easy to hide the seam. The strap is worked in rows and can be easily customized for different heights or to be a shoulder bag instead.
