Free Crochet Tote Bag Pattern | Mercato Crossbody Shoulder Bag

The Mercato Crossbody Shoulder Bag is a free crochet tote bag pattern. This bag is ideal for traveling, a day at the mercato {market}, or a playdate at the park.

The wide strap and crossbody design mean it’s comfortable, and stays out of the way, but is there when you need it.

Market tote bags are such great summer makes. I gifted this one to my son’s teacher, and she just loved it.

These totes are fast, easy and doesn’t take much yarn-perfect for gift giving.

I’ve crocheted a bunch of these shoulder bags this year and gifted all of them. I definitely should make a few for myself. I always need a nice shopper ready to go in the car, or another bag to hold yarn!

The Mercato Crossbody Shoulder Bag is worked from the bottom up, in the round. The lovely and versatile v-stitch makes it easy to hide the seam.

The strap is worked in rows and can be easily customized for different heights or to be a shoulder bag instead.

I love it when color changes work well with in a stitch pattern.
