I chose the Summer’s End Cardigan for this CAL because there are so many reasons to love this pattern. It’s easy-2 rectangles!

This cardigan is comfy & lightweight. It’s great for breezy days, or inside when the ac is running on hot days. And while I may not use it at the height of Summer, it’s definitely a go to Cardi on those cool mornings and evenings in the Spring & Fall.

Just for this CAL I worked up another one so that I could do some video tutorials for you! Second, I wanted to create one in a longer length.

Which means the longer version is coming free to the blog {June 30th} for this CAL! The knee length version includes side slits and loose style sleeves. For this CAL you can choose to crochet the original hip length cardigan or the knee length one. Get the free Mid Summer Cardigan pattern here.

Schedule

Week 1 June 30th-July 6th

Gather materials + gauge swatch + begin first panel.

Week 2 July 7th-13th

Second panel + sleeves.

Week 3 July 14th-20th

Edging/Hem + final pictures.

• 6mm (J) hook, or hook needed to meet gauge.
• scissors
• measuring tape
• yarn/tapestry needle
• stitch markers or substitute

#3 lightweight yarn, I used Lion Brand’s Flikka in Keepsake

Estimated yardage by size: XS-800, S-900, M-1000, L-1200, XL-1400, 2X-1600, 3X-1800, 4X-2000, 5X-2200 yds

Mid Summer Cardigan-Knee Length

#3 lightweight yarn, I used Lion Brand’s Comfy Cotton Blend in Whipped Cream.

Estimated yardage by size: XS-1000, S-1170, M-1370, L-1560, XL-1760, 2X-1950, 3X-2150, 4X-2350, 5X-2540 yds
