Single crochet two together is a crochet technique that is used to decrease the number of stitches. It commonly abbreviates as sc2tog in written crochet patterns.
Single crochet decrease is another wording I’ve seen for this stitch. For this photo tutorial I use a swatch of sc stitches, but you can do this decrease with any pattern.
We often use this technique for decreasing a hat, when working in the round, like in the Lontano Beanie.
If you’re crocheting flat then you may use single crochet decreases for shaping, like in the Christmas Lightbulb pattern.
Sometimes, if you are crocheting a project like amigurumi, it may be a good idea to use an invisible decrease, like I did in the Katerina Cat Lovey pattern.
