Modern Geometric Corner to Corner Baby Blanket: Ennio

Sharing is caring!

The Ennio is a modern crochet baby blanket pattern in corner to corner crochet. This quilt like crochet blanket works up in one piece with color changes throughout.

For this blanket I chose a blue as my main color and paired it with all neutrals. You can customize these colors to suit any contemporary nursery decor. I love that this will make a great blanket for baby boys!

There’s something striking about a modern design like this geometric blanket in classic crochet stitches. With this corner to corner pattern you can crochet a beautiful blanket that’s perfect for a baby shower gift.

This geometric design is a pattern of squares and triangles. The different colors contrast and complement one another creating an image of squares within squares.

While these may look like individual squares that are sewn together, but this one is worked in the c2c crochet technique. The beauty of this modern corner to corner is that this blanket is worked in all one piece!

A c2c baby blanket is a great way to showcase the family’s chosen color scheme. And a snuggly crochet baby blanket is always a hit with new parents!

This free c2c pattern is baby blanket size and looks fab with so many current nursery colors!

Materials

  • 5mm US Size H-8 crochet hook*, yarn needle, measuring tape, scissors
  • #4 medium worsted weight yarn; Premier Everyday Yarn Anti-Pilling (100% acrylic, 3.5 oz / 100 g, 180 yd / 165 m) 12 skeins of yarn, divided by color below.

Can I substitute yarn?

Yes, any #4 medium worsted weight yarn will work. I love working with Lion Brand Yarn. I think their Heartland yarn is beautiful and such a soft yarn.

Since this blanket uses so many colors you can make it a scrappy corner to corner blanket and use up some of that stash yarn!
