Crocheting these ear warmers in the round makes for a virtually seamless ear warmer. You can cinch it together at the join or leave it as is. No sewing!

I love crocheting handmade gifts for everyone on my list. But I need plenty of small and fast crochet gifts to do that. The Emilia Ear Warmer can be crocheted in less than an hour.

That means it’s easy to make plenty of crochet ear warmers without my hands aching. This free crochet pattern includes plenty of sizes, so you can even crochet matching sets.

Another way I keep my hands healthy is with my ergonomic hooks. They keep me crocheting without pain. I love the combination of comfort and smooth glide in my Furls Streamline Swirl crochet hooks.

Yarn

For these ear warmers I used a #4 worsted weight yarn, Red Heart Super Saver in Aran. I definitely think this will be a fun pattern to try in different colors and maybe even variegated yarn.

Stitch

The Emilia Ear Warmer is crocheted with the Alpine Stitch. This stitch has all the texture! It’s a mix of single crochet, double crochet and front post treble crochet stitches.

I’ve included a row by row tutorial for the ear warmer pattern below. However, if you’d like more support there are tutorials specific to this stitches.
