Yarn

I used Crafter’s Secret a cotton yarn. It’s a #4 medium worsted weight yarn for the to go cozy pictured. You can use any medium weight yarn.

If you want an absorbent coffee cup sleeve then use cotton. Acrylic yarns are ok to use, but are not absorbent.

I’ve been wanting to try different colors in this travel cup cozy, but haven’t gotten to it yet! Cup cozies are a great way to use up scrap yarn for a last minute gift.

Stitch

This coffee cup cozy is a simple pattern with a special stitch. It’s a mix of half double crochets and the mini bean stitch. I’ve linked up tutorials for these in the Stitches + Special Stitches sections.
