Stitches
US Terms
ch(s) – chain(s)
dc – double crochet
fdc – foundation double crochet
rep – repeat
sc – single crochet
sk – skip the indicated stitch
sl st – slip stitch
st(s) – stitch(es)
Construction
This poncho is crocheted in one piece from the bottom up. To make the neckline you will skip stitches and create chains. On the following row you will work into those chains and continue working the back half of the poncho.
Adjustments
To adjust the length of the poncho simply add or subtract row repeats. Remember to make the same change to both sides (before and after the neckline).
To adjust the width of the poncho you can start with any number of stitches. Adding more stitches will make it wider, while subtracting will make it narrower.
Finished Dimensions
Width when laid flat 36” [40, 44, 48] in (91.5 [101.5, 112, 122] cm) wide x 24.5” (61.5 cm) long.
