How to Crochet Corner to Corner

If you’re new to this technique, you can start with this tutorial on how to crochet corner to corner. You’ll learn how to get started, how to increase and decrease in c2c, and how to change colors.

The written instructions include step by step photos and a video tutorial showing all you need to know to work the corner to corner method.

Tips for working with color changes in C2C

  1. Keep colors organized in small amounts that you will use for each section. See the picture below of the cardboard bobbins I use.
  2. Using a basket to thread yarn through (before you start) is a great way to manage tangling, see how I did it in my post on tips for corner to corner.
  3. To change colors, stop before the last yarn over, drop color 1 and pick up color 2, then finish the stitch.
  4. Carry the yarn under your stitches if you will need to pick it up again soon. This helps to minimize tails to weave in.
  5. For longer color changes, just cut the yarn (leave a 6″ tail) and join the new color with a slip stitch when you need it.
