Salve Crochet Scarf A Stylish Super Scarf

Sharing is caring!

The Salve Scarf is a cozy crochet scarf featuring beautiful cables and double-knotted fringe. This pattern is created with simple elegance in mind. The stitch repeat is simple but the faux cables are interesting enough to keep you engaged.

The post stitches used in this crochet pattern make this design an intermediate level. I strive to create designs that are accessible to every level crocheter so the written pattern also includes video tutorial for that extra support a newer crocheter may need.

Materials Needed For Your Salve Scarf:

  • 720 yd of Wander yarn,* a #4 medium worsted weight yarn (100% acrylic, 120 yd / 100 g) in shade fawn.
  • 5mm US size H-8 hook,* or hook needed to meet gauge.
  • yarn needle, measuring tape, scissors

For this design I used the premium acrylic Wander Yarn from Furls. It’s silky soft and has the best sheen. The Fawn color is just gorgeous.

The Alpha Series crochet hooks are the best. I love the feel of the warm wood, the lightness and the perfect fit in my palm of these hooks. Here I use an Alpha in Bloodwood.

Customizing This Scarf

Choosing your favorite color is the first way to make this project personal. You can even select multiple colors and create stripes.

Since this scarf is worked on the short end it’s easy to customize the length by working more or less rows. As designed this super scarf has a length of 100″. The extra long length allows this scarf to be worn in so many stylish ways! The pattern also includes directions for how to make it wider or narrower.
