Materials

My favorite Hooks are Furls* and Clover*!

For this pattern I use my Furls Streamline in Rosewood. The ergonomic handle keeps my hands healthy!

Notes

  1. Ch 3 counts as a stitch, I highly recommend using a ch 3 alternative, like one of these standing stitches.
  2. St multiple is 5 + 3 for the foundation chain.

Gauge

2” / 5 cm x 2” / 5 cm = 5 dc x 3 rows of dc

Finished dimensions

81” / 206 cm long x 7” / 18 cm wide

Adjustments

For a longer scarf, simply crochet more rows of the repeat until your desired length. Likewise, if you’d rather a shorter length then stop crocheting early.

To adjust the width of your scarf you’ll need the stitch multiple found in the Notes section. You can start with a chain that is a multiple of 5, so 5, 10, 15, 20, etc. Then you add 3.

For this pattern it’s 20 (a multiple of 5) plus 3 = 23 (our starting chain for this pattern).

To make this scarf narrower, you might choose 15 + 3 = ch 18 to start.

To crochet this scarf wider than the one pictured, increase the starting chain. So 25 + 3 = 28 chains.

You can use this method to customize your scarf.
