September’s Yarn & Hook Giveaway features a favorite yarn that I’ve been working with a lot recently-Lion Brand’s Mandala. You can get the patterns for my Merletto Poncho and my Basic Boatneck Shirt free. Both of these free patterns were created using one of Lion Brand’s Mandala yarn. The Merletto Poncho is available in children and adult size and the Basic Boatneck is available in women’s sizes XS-2X. I love seeing all your creations in all the beautiful mandala color ways!
For this month’s giveaway I’ve chose 3 cakes of “Unicorn.” The fantasy nerd in me just loves all the mandala names too: chimera, warlock, wood nymph to name a few. Unicorn is just gorgeous with it’s subtle greys and the perfect pop of pink! Another reason I love mandala is that it’s a dk weight yarn and available in my local stores! What would you make with this yarn if you won?
The hook for this month’s giveaway has an ergonomic bamboo handle. I love how my ergonomic hook allows me to crochet for hours in comfort. Now if only my children would do the same 😉 I chose hook size #7, which is a 4.5mm hook. This size doesn’t often come in the sets you can buy, but I find it’s an essential one to have in my bag. You can never have too many crochet hooks, right?
